Each north Georgia cabin rentals cabin has a full kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, toaster; Rock fireplace, VCR with TV, telephone, BBQ Grill, porch rockers, swing, all linens, and towels. Ceiling fans cool the cabins on warm summer days; electric wall units heat each room for your comfort. Enjoy our reflection pond which is fed by a small spring stream. Watch the gold fish swim lazily around the floating plants. On most mornings,
a flock of wild turkeys gather in the grassy area around the pond to feed on insects, etc.

The road ends at our secluded cabin hideaway in the Great Smoky Mountains … meaning there is no through traffic. Our property joins Betty's Creek (one of the most pristine, beautiful creeks in the area) and extends up Brushy Ridge Mountain where we join the 24,500 acre Southern Nantahala Wilderness and Standing Indian Wildlife & Bear Reserve.

A marked trail leads from our cabins west to join the scenic Appalachian Trail at Betty's Creek Gap (about 1 1/2 hour hike). There is an abundance of wild flowers in this Appalachian Rainforest from early spring until November; flowering trees; flame azaleas; mountain laurel; rhododendron; the many varieties of ferns; the clear tumbling streams; all add delight to your visit in all seasons. If you plan on day hiking, don't forget a rain coat or parka.

When you come to Turnstone Log Cabins, be prepared to relax, rock in our high-backed porch rockers, smell the clean mountain air, sit on huge rocks or your deck beside the creek and let your cares drift away…. Maybe you'll spot a wild turkey. Perhaps you'd enjoy fly-fishing for rainbow trout at the Trout Farm, it's just down the creek and you don't even need a license. (You gotta' try grilled rainbow trout… a real mountain treat) or spend the afternoon walking the marked and maintained mountain trails through the wilderness area or along the creek.
